Piano Tuning, Regulation, Service and Repairs.
Tuning
There are many types of pianos, actions, sounding boards, pedals etc. (click here for more technical piano information) There are also many different types of piano owners. In general a piano should be tuned at least twice a year and depending on the amount of play and level of the player, more often. I offer several tuning options depending on your needs:
Maintenance Tuning
If your piano is not played on a regular basis but you want to maintain the instrument in good working order this is probably the option you want. It includes:
- Complete tuning
- Overall instrument assessment
- Cost $85
Professional Tuning
If your piano receives fairly frequent use by intermediate or higher level player(s), you probably want to choose this option. It includes:
- Complete tuning @ A440 - fully equalized
- Action adjustment where required
- Pitch raise (40c deviation if required)
- Cost $100
Concert Level - (private home)
If this is level of tuning you require you already know this. It includes:
- Fine tuning @ A440 - Concert precision - fully equalized.
- Action adjustment where required
- Pitch raise (40c deviation if required)
- Minor hammer voicing included
- Damper, soft pedal and practice rail adjustments
- Cost $120
All of the above options are available in an annual contract for 2 tunings per year at a $20% discount.
Climate Control systems are highly recommended for most pianos subjected to our tropical Florida climate. I am an authorized reseller and installation technician for Damppchaser Corp. www.pianolifesaver.com This is a great product that will not only enhance the sound retaining qualities of your piano but also result in lower maintenance over the years. Cost to include installation is $225.00 (vertical piano)
Repairs. Lets fact it there are a lot of parts in a piano and many of them move. From sticky keys to a complete rebuild, we can take care of any repair issue. As each piano and potential repair is different, cost to repair must be quoted based on the instrument and problem.
I can also provide you with written insurance estimates if your piano is damaged or just needs to be insured.
