Piano Tuning, Regulation, Service and Repairs

I service all acoustic pianos.  Typical I recommend tuning your piano twice a year. This sometimes depends on the amount of play, the level of the player and also the discretion of each clients individual ear. I offer several piano tuning options depending on your specific needs:

Level Basic Maintenance Piano Tuning 165 – 185

Are you a new client? Is your piano tuned regularly and are you simply looking to keep your instrument in tune?  Do you live in Orlando?  This is your most affordable service option and it includes:

• Complete tuning @A440
• Overall instrument assessment
• Please specify level basic when booking to avoid incurring any additional charges. New Clients only. No further discounts may apply when choosing this service option.

Level Advanced Service Piano Tuning 190 – 215

If your piano receives fairly frequent use by intermediate player you might want to choose this option. It includes:

• Complete piano tuning @ A440 – fully equalized
• Minor Action adjustment and regulation where required
• Pitch raise (5c deviation if required)
• Instrument appraisal
• Regional piano and voice training referrals

Level Professional Piano Tuning – (private home) 245 – 275

This is the most commonly performed service and it includes:

• Fine piano tuning @ A440 – Concert precision – fully equalized.
• Action adjustment and regulation where required
• Pitch raise (20c deviation if required)
• Piano detail surface clean and dust cabinet plate and soundboard using “drop” floss soft feather down
• Minor hammer voicing if necessary
• Instrument appraisal
• Regional piano and voice training referrals
• Damper, soft pedal and practice rail adjustments that may include clean lubrication

Professional Concert Piano Tuning- (onsite) 300 – 325

This service is for studio, commercial and live performance. It includes:

• Fine piano tuning @ A440 – Concert precision – fully equalized.
• Action adjustment where required
• Pitch raise (20c deviation if required)
• Piano detail surface clean and dust cabinet plate and soundboard using “drop” floss soft feather down
• Minor hammer voicing if necessary
• Instrument appraisal
• Regional piano and voice training referrals
• Damper, soft pedal and practice rail adjustments that may include clean lubrication
• Additional Charges May Apply

Above options are available with annual contracts for 2 tunings per year at a $15% discount. Additional charges may apply for particular repairs.

Climate Control Systems

Climate Control Systems are highly recommended for most pianos subjected to our tropical Florida climate. I am an authorized reseller and installation technician for Damppchaser Corp. This is a recommended and affordable system that will not only enhance the stability of your piano tuning, but will also help to avoid soundboard cracks. Additionally, moisture that collects in the felt hammers and working parts of the Action will cause tonal brashness and keyboard sluggishness, even to the point of sticking keys and rusting of strings. Properly installed Damppchaser systems will result in lower maintenance costs over the life of your piano.

Cost to include my professional installation is:
$359.00 (vertical piano)
$459.00 (grand piano)

From sticky keys to complete rebuilds, I can take care of any repair issue. As each piano and potential repair is different, the cost to repair must be quoted based on the specific instrument.

I can also provide you with professionally written insurance estimates if your piano is damaged or needs to be insured.
